Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer with 15–20 years of hands-on experience in
managing operations of Cement Plants, Pyrolysis Plants, or Chemical Plants. The role involves leading the production & maintenance activities, ensuring smooth plant operations, minimizing downtime, and managing manpower and safety protocols efficiently.
This position requires a results-driven professional who can optimize processes, ensure preventive
maintenance, and lead production teams to achieve target outputs with minimal plant shutdowns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the day-to-day operations of the production plant.
- Ensure achievement of production targets with optimized resource utilization.
- Lead the maintenance activities to ensure smooth operations with minimal unplanned downtime.
- Handle mechanical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and spares planning.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production and maintenance.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team, manage shift schedules, and ensure effective manpower utilization.
- Drive a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards.
- Collaborate with the procurement and logistics teams for timely availability of critical spares and
materials.
- Continuously work on process improvements and energy optimization.
- Maintain comprehensive production and maintenance reports for management review.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and plant operators.
Candidate Profile:
Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience:
- 15 to 20 years in cement, pyrolysis, or chemical plant operations.
- Strong knowledge of rotary kilns, crushers, conveyors, pyrolysis reactors, compressors, pumps, heat exchangers, and other heavy mechanical equipment.
- Proven track record of managing large teams in a plant environment.
- Strong understanding of plant maintenance practices, production planning, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with safety protocols, hazard assessments, and industrial best practices.
- Hands-on approach with leadership and team management qualities.
- Good communication skills and ability to coordinate across departments.
- Candidates with knowledge of Spanish Language will be preferred.
