The Opportunity
We are building ‘THE FASHION UK PORTAL’: a set of internal and external experiences spanning Design, Customer, Licensor, Production and Supplier workflows. We are looking for a Front-End Engineer to build these portal experiences with strong UX, clear navigation, and consistent design patterns.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys turning complex workflows into simple, usable interfaces, and who can work closely with BAs, designers and engineers to ship features that are actively used.
What You’ll Do
Build Portal Experiences
- Develop portal UI for internal and external users (Design, Customer, Licensor, Production, Supplier).
- Implement workflows for approvals, reporting views, and search/compare experiences.
- Build reusable UI components and patterns to keep experiences consistent across portals.
Work with APIs, Auth & Role-Based Access
- Integrate front-end components with back-end services and APIs.
- Implement authentication and role-based access (internal and external user journeys).
- Ensure secure handling of data and appropriate permission boundaries.
UX, Performance & Quality
- Deliver clean, accessible and responsive UI with strong usability.
- Optimise performance for large datasets and image-heavy experiences.
- Contribute to testing and quality practices (unit/component testing, regression prevention).
Collaborate & Iterate
- Work closely with Business Analysts and stakeholders to refine requirements.
- Support UAT and feedback cycles; iterate quickly while maintaining quality.
- Document components and contribute to standards for the portal UI layer.
Key Outcomes & KPIs
- Portal features shipped that are adopted by users and reduce manual effort.
- Consistent UI patterns and reusable components that accelerate delivery.
- Secure, role-based experiences for internal and external users.
- Improved usability and reduced support queries through better UX.

What We’re Looking For
Essential
- 5+ years’ experience building front-end applications with React and TypeScript.
- Strong skills in modern front-end development (component design, state management, API integration).
- Proven experience delivering responsive, user-friendly UI for business workflows.
- Comfort working with authentication/authorisation concepts and role-based UI.
- Experience collaborating in agile teams with BAs/PMs and back-end engineers.
- A constant desire to ask why.
Desirable
- Experience building portals for external users (customers/suppliers/partners).
- Experience with Microsoft identity and ecosystem components (e.g., Entra/AAD, Dataverse/Power Platform).
- Experience with data visualisation and reporting interfaces.
- Exposure to image/asset-heavy applications (DAM/search/compare experiences).
