About Futurelab:

Futurelab Studios is an AI studio based in Bengaluru. We train teams to use AI well, build custom AI tools, and work with companies as their fractional CTO. Our clients range from large consumer brands to foundations running public programmes, across India, Africa, the GCC and Southeast Asia. We are a small team, and everyone here ships.

The role:

You will join our engineering team and build the tools we deliver to clients. One week that could be an internal assistant for a sales team, the next a voice agent for a rural programme. You will own features end to end, from the first API call to the screen a user sees.

What you’ll do:

• Build web applications with React, TypeScript and Python
• Design and maintain clean, well-documented APIs
• Integrate LLMs, retrieval and agent frameworks into real products
• Deploy, monitor and fix what you ship
• Join client conversations so you understand the problem before you write code

What we’re looking for:

• 6 to 8 years building production web applications
• Python/FastAPI, React/TypeScript, PostgreSQL/Supabase
• AWS, Docker, Git/CI/CD, REST APIs & Integrations
• OpenAI/Claude/Gemini APIs, RAG/Vector DBs
• Agentic AI/LangGraph, System Design & Architecture, Security, Testing & Observability
• Strong TypeScript and React
• Comfortable with Python on the backend (FastAPI or similar)
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs and at least one agent framework
• Good with databases (Postgres) and cloud deployment
• Clear written communication

• Products built for Indian languages
• Side projects or open-source work you can show us
